- Tasselflower brickellbush is by far the most frequently collected Brickellia in the Watershed. The flower likes dry rocky slopes and cliff bases, but can be found in a variety of habitats, including under trees and by road sides. There are no records from the Culebras but is present there, judging from the many collections from the Cristos of New Mexico. It grows in all Western states of the USA, with scattered locations across the Plains into Missouri and Arkansas.
