- Comments
- Slimlobe beggarticks has been recorded fairly frequently around the Watershed in a variety of habitats: Basin ditches, foothill river bottom-lands, quasi-mesic shrubland, urban street side. The plant is mainly a Southwest plant of Arizona and New Mexico, but does range up through the central mountains of Colorado and down the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico to west Texas. Note that as the inflorescence matures, the barbed awns become more and more prominent.
