- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For dwarf alpine hawkshead, the Watershed shows just three vouchers: two from San Juan Co on Stony Pass (2005) and Sheep Mountain (2021; and one from Conejos Co (1988), “1 mi S of Green Lake, 0.5 mi N of Trail Lake," (Green Lake is just east of the Divide, on a tributary of the Conejos River). The USA distribution looks like islands throughout much of the West, suggesting the plant survived as a glacial relict. The collections from the rest of Colorado are also meagre, and the plant has not been found in New Mexico.
