- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. In the Watershed, Parry's wormwood has been found not often but consistently, especially in rocky habitats—sometimes on scree slopes, sometimes in dry gravelly stream beds. Almost all the records of Artemisia parryi are from the west side of the Valley. Its distribution in Colorado extends on up into the Arkansas River drainage. In New Mexico it continues no farther along the Rio Grande drainage than Taos Co. The only other locations in the USA are extreme eastern Utah.
