- There are many collections of Agoseris aurantiaca, from all mountain ranges of the Watershed. It is found in mountain meadows and forest openings, sometimes by roadsides. This is a Western USA flower, distributed from the Cascades to the Rockies. It follows the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico to the border with Texas.
