- For Lemna turionifera there is only one herbarium record for the Watershed: Alamosa Co, town of Alamosa (Ramaley, 1932). BONAP shows Costilla Co, with no SEINet vouchers. The photorecord of 2022 would add a second observation and Conejos to counties indicated in Ackerfield (2022) and BONAP (2022). The location makes sense, with the species recorded from Archuleta Co, just west of the Continental Divide, and bordering counties of Rio Arriba and Taos of New Mexico. Apparently the species is not present farther down the Rio Grande drainage. It is distributed throughout most of the USA. Note that as with the other species of Lemna in the Watershed, determiners of vouchers dated before 2000 did not have the comprehensive work of Elias Landolt to rely on (FNA, 2000).
