- Comments
- Although mainly a Basin aquatic (with 7 collections), Lemna minute has also been collected from ponds above 9,000’ elevation in the south San Juans and La Garitas (with 4 collections). This range in elevation is supported by Ackerfield. The common habitat is ponds and backwaters rich in nutrients (eutrophic). For the USA distribution, BONAP shows concentration in the Southwest (including all of California), with very scattered locations mainly in the southern half of the nation. It seems to be present in the Rio Grande drainage only as far as west Texas (Jeff Davis Co).
