- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For wild turnip, there are Watershed records from Saguache Co (one collection in 1915, “Cochetopa National Forest,” which might be out of the Watershed), and Rio Grande Co (one collection with two specimens, Ramaley, 1934, “just north of Monte Vista, unnamed stream”). In 2016 Pastinaca sativa was collected 3 miles E of Chromo (Archuleta Co), "in boggy areas along road," just west of the Watershed. Except for Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, all states of the USA have reports of this exotic escaped—or adventive, happily thriving on its own. This range includes Rio Arriba, Taos, and Santa Fe counties in New Mexico, and Del Rio Co in Texas—all Rio Grande watershed locations.
