NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For sweet cicely there are only three Watershed records, all from the south San Juans: near Elwood pass (1996), Tucker Ponds SW of South Fork (1997), and on the Rio Chama (2004). In the region, the largest number of collections come from outside the Watershed, from the San Juan drainage. The Watershed locations, along with several more in north New Mexico, lie at the southwest corner of the USA distribution. Osmorhiza berteroi is not easy to tell apart from the much more common O. depauperata. The distinguishing feature seems to be the fruit and its beak.
