Comments
In the Watershed mountain parsley is perhaps the most commonly collected Apiacid, ubiquitous in the montane and subalpine on both sides of the Valley. Cymopterus lemmonnii is a variable species, especially as to leaf shape, a variability that has spawned a large number of scientific names. Its USA range overlaps with Ligusticum porteri: Southwest mountains of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and a bit of northern Utah. It follows the Rio Grande drainage in New Mexico down to the border with Mexico, continuing into far-west Texas with a few collections. Note that Ackerfield (2022) and others treats this species as Pseudocymopterus montanus.
