- Conioselinum scopulorum has been recorded from all mountain ranges of the Watershed, in wet areas of spruce-fir-aspen forests, sometimes also in roadside ditches. Hemlock parsley grows in the Southern Rockies, with scattered occurrences in Idaho, Montana, and the Wallowa Mountains of northeast Oregon. In New Mexico, it follows the Rio Grande drainage to the Mexican border. Despite its common name ("hemlock parsley"), the literature does not mention any toxicity to humans.
