- There are 7 Watershed vouchers for caraway, spread over the decades, in the Lower Basin and south San Juan foothils, usually associated with farmland spaces (meadows, irrigation ditches, road sides) and urban spaces (yards, street sides). Caraway needs a cool climate to persist, and is not normally found in the deep South or Southwest. It is on Colorado's B list of "noxious weeds."
