- Gray's angelica is usually a high elevation plant, and in the Watershed it is recorded from all mountain ranges on both sides of the Valley. The USA distribution is fairly restricted, to southern Wyoming, Colorado, and northern New Mexico, where the plant follows the Rio Grande drainage only through Rio Arriba, Taos, and Sandoval counties.
