- In the Watershed, Oxybasis glauca is plant of alkali flats and wetlands, with many records from the Upper Basin on the east side. The three vouchers that Hobey Dixon collected from around La Manga Pass, Conejos Co, may not be O. glauca, since it is far above the elevation range for the species. Note that almost all the Watershed collections were determined as var. glauca, the native form of the species. However, var. salina, the exotic form, has been collected twice, from the San Luis Lakes area (1986) and the Baca NWR (2012). The native species is present in all Western and Great Plains states and adventive eastward. It has been recorded from the Rio Grande drainage down to Doña Ana Co, New Mexico, but not farther down stream. For more photographs and comments, click "yes" in the Annotation field below..
