- Of mealy goosefoot surprisingly there are only five records from the Watershed, one in Costilla Co near Ft. Garland, three others from north and southwest of the town of Saguache, and one by Hwy 160 between Monte Vista and Alamosa (iNaturalist observation #31478068). The plant may be under-collected from the Watershed, or poorly recognized. Some vouchers determined as C. fremontii may be C. incanum. Chenopodium incanum is commonly found in the desert Southwest and reported from every county in New Mexico. It follows the Rio Grande drainage on past Big Bend county of Texas. BONAP shows one location within forty miles of the Gulf of Mexico.
