NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. So far leafy goosefoot has five distinct locations in the Watershed: Dry Gulch near Creede (1937, Mineral Co), Cumbres pass (1965, Conejos Co), Trinchera Ranch road (1998, Costilla Co), Hayden Pass Creek (1998, Saguache Co), and E of North pass (1998, Saguache Co). The largest population seems to be east of North pass. Blitum virgatum, often treated under the name Chenopodium foliosum, is an exotic with spotty records all around the USA West. It has been recorded from the New Mexico Rio Grande drainage about two-thirds of the way down the state. Since 1998, the species has been several times collected from Archuleta Co in the San Juan River drainage, just west of the Watershed.
