- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. There are only three records of stalked saltbrush from the Watershed: Alamosa Co, W of Alamosa; Saguache Co, McIntyre Ridge, about 4 miles ENE of Saguache; Rio Grande Co, N of Del Norte, along one of the entrance roads to the Elephant Rocks. This saltbrush can be found in saline desert shrub communities in Nevada, northeast Arizona, southeast Utah, Wyoming, eastern Colorado, New Mexico, and around El Paso, Texas.
