- Comments
- Judging from collections, Chenopodium leptophyllum is a very common goosefoot all around the watershed in dry foothill terrain, with substrate volcanic, sandy, or otherwise. The Lower Basin records come from the San Luis Hills, where it is common, often in association with C. watsonii. The species is also associated with C. Watsonii in the Eastern San Juans of Rio Grande Co and Mineral Co, sometimes growing in large patches. It follows the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico and on down to the Big Bend country of Texas and maybe beyond. The USA distribution is scattered in all Western states, Oklahoma, and Texas.
