- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. This hybrid between Elymus lanceolatus and E. trachycaulus has been vouchered four times from the Watershed, all under the name "Agropyron pseudorepens": La Veta pass (Costilla Co, 1896); tundra, Bennett Peak east of Del Norte (Rio Grande Co, 1976); meadow 15 miles west of the town of Saguache (Saguache Co, 1983); sandy loam, Orr Spring, Seitz Creek (Saguache Co, 1984). In the lower USA, the distribution of Elymus X pseudorepens is centered in New Mexico and northeast Arizona, with scattered locations running up the central Rockies to Montana. The species, very common, follows the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico but not into Texas.
