- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Tahoe sedge has been vouchered from three locations in the Watershed, all fairly recently and all in the South San Juans region: in a meadow six miles south of Wagon Wheel Gap (Mineral Co, 2013, 2014); in a dry meadow near the Rio Grande north of Rio Grande Reservoir (Hinsdale Co, 2014); and in a meadow with Ponderosa pine in Rajadero Canyon (Coneos Co, 2015). In the lower USA states, Carex tahoensis is found in very scattered locations in all Western states except for Nevada and Arizona. The Watershed species would be the only ones in the Rio Grande drainage except for two locations in Rio Arriba and Taos counties of New Mexico
