- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Meadow sedge has been voucher only three times from the Watershed: in a meadow by Tucker Ponds (Mineral Co, 1978); in a sagebrush hillside above Indian Creek (North Sangre de Cristos, Saguach Co, 1980); and in a willow carr in the floodplain of the Rio Grande at the base of Rio Grande Reservoir (Hinsdale Co, 2014). The lower USA distribution of Carex praticola covers the Rockies from the Canadian border to Colorado and Oregon and Washington. The species has been found in the Rio Grande drainage of New Mexico only with one location in Rio Arriba Co.
