- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Mount Baldy Sedge has five vouchered locations from the Watershed, all alpine: Fels Plateau (Conejos Co, 1903); top of Grayback Mountain (Rio Grande Co, 1978); top of Rito Alto Peak, north Sangre de Cristo Mountains (Saguache Co, 2009); near Blue Lake (Conejos Co, 2014); top of Stony Pass (San Juan Co, 2022). Carex perglobosa, named for its nearly spherical inflorescence, would be endemic to Colorado except for occurrences in the La Sal Mountains of eastern Utah. The Watershed locations are the only ones in the Rio Grande drainage.
