- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. So far there are only four vouchers Rocky Mountain cliff fern from the Watershed: Limekiln Creek east of Del Norte (Rio Grande Co, 1986); two miles SSE of Ruybalid Lake (Conejos Co, 1988); above Zapata Falls (Alamosa Co, 1986); and above Denton Spring east of the Great Sand Dunes NPP (Alamosa Co, 2000). The habitat of Woodsia scopulina is shaded and mesic rock crevices. The USA distribution is all Western states and the Black Hills of South Dakota. BONAP shows the presence of the species in Rio Arriba Co of New Mexico, but the plant is not recorded farther down the Rio Grande drainage.
