NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. There is only one clearly documented occurrence of slender rockbrake from the Watershed: two miles SSE of Ruybalid Lake (Conejos Co, 1988), found in a "moist ravine on southwest exposure." Locations of three other vouchers from San Juan and Archuleta counties are protected. Cryptogramma stelleri is an uncommon species throughout its USA range, and listed as endangered, vulnerable, or threatened in New England, and as rare in Western states, including Colorado. The Conejos Co location is the only documented one in the Rio Grande drainage.
