- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Triangle moonwort has been vouchered from the Watershed around a dozen times, from Vermejo Ranch Park in the Culebras and from various locations in the South San Juans: around Wolf Creek pass (Mineral Co) and Stunner campground (Coejos Co), east of Bear Lake (Conejos Co), along Fox Creek (Conejos Co). The habitat of Botrychium lanceolatum varies: stony slopes, subalpine meadows, old clear cuts, alpine knolls. The USA distribution includes scattered locations in all Western states except for California and, more commonly, the Great Lakes and New England. The species has been found in the three counties of New Mexico bordering the Watershed but no farther down the Rio Grande drainage.
