- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. So far there are three vouchers for boreal mannagrass: Chicago Bogs, southwest of La Jara Reservoir (Conejos Co, 1986); Spectacle Lake, just north of Conejos River, west of Antonito (Conejos Co, 2004); Binckley Ranch on Rio Chamita (Archuleta Co, 2016). The habitat is shore of lake, bog, or wet meadow. Sometimes Glyceria borealis can be fund in standing water. The USA distribution is all Western states and across the top third of the nation. The species follows the Rio Grande drainage only through the top two tiers of New Mexico counties (bordering on Colorado and the Watershed).
