NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Drooping woodreed has been vouchered twice from the Watershed: by Buck Creek in coniferous forest near Medano Creek road north of the Great Sand Dunes NPP (Saguache Co, 2000), and by a wooded creek eight air miles southwest of South Fork (Mineral Co, 2003). Cinna latifolia occupies forest understory and creek banks. It is present, scattered, in all Western USA states and across the top fourth of the Nation from the Pacific Northwest to New England. The species follows the Rio Grande drainage through the top fourth of New Mexico (where it is "uncommonly collected," Allred et al. 2020) but no farther down stream.
