- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. So far Parry's rush has been vouchered six times from the Watershed, all in the South San Juans range. The habitat is wet subalpine woods and alpine slopes. In the USA, Juncus parryi has been recorded in similar habitats (including alpine scree) in all Western states except for Arizona. The species is found in the northern two New Mexican counties of the Rio Grande drainage, rarely, and follows that drainage no farther down stream.
