- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Only two Watershed vouchers exist for tall trisetum. One location is one half mile west of Poso cpgd, according to the georeferences given (Saguache Co, 1939). The other is labeled "Steele Canyon" with georeferences pinpointing the town of Villa Grove (Saguache Co, 1896)—a contradictory label, since Steel canyon is in the north Cristos. Shaw (2008) describes Graphephorum canescens [Trisetum canescens] as "rare" in Colorado, typically growing along streams in ponderosa or spruce forests. The USA distribution is disjunct, primarily the Pacific coast states, Idaho, and western Montana, with a few uncommon occurrences in southeast Utah, southwest Colorado, and northwest Arizona. If the Watershed vouchers are accurate, then they would mark the only occurrences in the entire Rio Grande drainage.
