- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Nodding bluegrass is one of the most common grasses in the subalpine and lower alpine meadows and ledges of the Watershed. In has been collected from all mountain ranges, east and west. In the USA, Poa reflexa ranges through the Intermountain region and the Rocky Mountains from Canada to northern New Mexico. It follows the Rio Grande drainage only through two northern ounties of New Mexico, no farther down stream.
