- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. We accept only two vouchers for Letterman's bluegrass: Continental Divide trail (San Juan Co, 1994) and North Fork of Zapata Creek (Alamosa Co, 1998). Apparently BONAP accepts the first, Shaw (2008) the second. The few other vouchers from Watershed locations, determined as "Poa lettermanii," need to be re-evaluated. The USA range for this dwarf tundra grass covers, very spottily, all Western states except for Arizona and New Mexico. These two Watershed locations would mark the southeast corner of that distribution, and the only occurrences in the entire Rio Grande drainage.
