- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Orchard grass, an exotic, was sometimes planted as a pasture grass. It is usually found long road sides and other ruderal habitats. In the Watershed, voucher locations are all on the western side of the Valley, with the exception of La Veta pass (Costilla Co, 1896). Dactylis glomerats has been recorded from every state of the nation. It follows the Rio Grande drainage in New Mexico from north to south but no farther down stream.
