- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Pumpelly's brome has been vouchered less than ten times from the Watershed, and some of those determinations are suspect. The locations range: e.g., Pinyon Hills (Conejos Co), La Garita (Saguache Co), Raspberry Canyon (Alamosa Co), Platoro Reservoir (Conejos Co). Note that Shaw (2008) says the vegetative zones for Bromus pumpellianus are montane and subalpine. The USA distribution for the species is centered in Wyoming, with locations running up the Rockies to the Canadian border and down through central Colorado and just barely into New Mexico, where Allred et al. (2020) say the species is uncommon. So the Watershed occurrences lie at the southern edge of the USA distribution.
