- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Ditch reedgrass, which Shaw (2008) calls "relatively uncommon" in Colorado, has been recorded from only one location in the Watershed, a ridge near the junction of the West and Middle Forks of San Francisco Creek, about 10 miles south of Del Norte (Rio Grande Co). A montane species, perennial and cool-season, Calamagrostis scopulorum is distributed centrally in western Wyoming, Utah, western Colorado, and northern New Mexico, where it follows the Rio Grande drainage only through two counties, no farther down stream
