- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Foxtail muhly has been vouchered fairly often from both sides of the Watershed. The habitat varies, from open rocky slopes to wet meadows, from basin (Monte Vista, Rio Grande Co) to upper montane (Wolf Creek pass, Mineral Co). Weber and Wittmann (2012) found Muhlenbergia andina "in seepage at bases of cliffs and rocky outcrops." The USA distribution consists of scattered locations in all Western states. The species follows the Rio Grande drainage only two counties into New Mexico.
