- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. There is one indisputable voucher of stinkgrass from the Watershe: six miles WSW of Crestone in the Baca National Wildlife Refuge (2006). Shaw (2008) and BONAP also show Alamosa for Eragrostis cilianensis. This distinctive exotic from Europe is now naturalized in every state of the USA. Its preference for lower elevations may explain why it is so little recorded in the Watershed. It follows the Rio Grande drainage through New Mexico and, with gaps, through Texas to the Gulf of Mexico.
