NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Boechera austromontana is a new species proposed by Windham & Allphin (see Windham, Pryer, and Allphin (2022). Morphologically, it stands close to B. grahamii, but differs in having mature fruits mostly ascending, basal leaves with some dolabriform (malpighiaceous) hairs, and middle leaves sparsely hirsute. All the Watershed occurrences cited by Windham, Pryer, and Allphin come from the Conejos River in the vicinity of Spectacle Lake (Conejos Co). This new species is accepted by POWO.
