NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. There is only one recorded location for Lomatium grayi from the Watershed: the La Botica site, in La Jara Creek canyon, 10.8 air miles SW of Capulin. It was found and determined by Kristy Duran in 2020 (see Mitchell, ed, 2022, Appendix A). Otherwise the Colorado distribution of desert parsley is all west slope, with the USA distribution extending northwestwardly through high desert/basin country of Utah, northwestern Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. But the species has been collected from Rio Arriba Co, NM, and Archuleta Co, CO, just west of the Watershed. The La Botica occurrence would be unique to the entire Rio Grande drainage. There are, however, many occurrences in Archuleta county (including in iNaturalist), just to the west of Conejos county and the Divide. Note that the 1917 SEINet voucher listed as "Conejos county" is actually from La Plata county. Also note that Alexander, Whaley, and Blain (2018) erected three varieties of this taxon from the Pacific Northwest and Utah to species level, leaving the Rocky Mountain varieties as Lomatium grayi sensu stricto.
