- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. There is good evidence that the European forget-me-not is naturalizing in the San Juan Mountains. In 2003 Flaig found it near the South Fork Guard Station (Rio Grande Co), and in 2004 Heil found in on Bachelors Loop above Creede (Mineral Co). In 2014 Sharplesl found it near the trailhead to Leche Creek, 14 miles ESE of Pagosa Springs, out of the Watershed but only 6 miles west of it. The species may occur in the Rio Grande drainage of New Mexico (San Miguel and Lincoln counties), where Allred et al (2020) say it is found "Occasionally in shallow water and wet soil of mountain streams." There are scattered locations is all Western states, around the Great Lakes, and throughout the Appalachians and New England.
