- NEED IN SITU PHOTOGRAPHS. There is only one record of nodding chickweed, a voucher submitted by Rydberg and Vreeland from La Veta pass, dated July 3, 1900. Ackerfield says the species "could occur" in Colorado, and BONAP shows it present in New Mexico counties contingent to the Four Corners counties of Colorado. But Allred, Jercinovic, and Ivey (2020) show it only in New Mexico counties farther south, and note some herbarium species labeled "Cerastium nutans" are really Cerastium fastigiatum.
