NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. For Viola macloskeyi there are only two Watershed locations, collected decades ago: Rock Creek near Monte Vista (Rio Grande Co, 1940); and Deep Creek near Creede (1937, 1939). Viola mackloskeyi occurs uncommonly in Rio Arriba and Taos counties of New Mexico. This is the southern reach of its distribution in the Rockies. The species is also wide spread in the Sierras and Cascades, and around the Great lakes, New England, and the Appalachians. For Viola macloskeyi BONAP (2022) shows Saguache and Conejos Cos, with no vouchers in SEINet. Other experts do not put it within the Watershed. Note that V. renifolia, V. palustris, and V. macloskeyi are easily confounded.
