- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. There is only one Watershed collection of Glandularia wrightii (determined as "Glanduaria bipinnatifida var. bipinnatifida"): Hodding Creek, 12 miles W of Saguache, south of Hwy 114, among conifer forests, on slopes with rocky outcrops, and in the creek bottom. In the USA, this is a Plains flower, but in Colorado there are scattered collections west of the Divide. This is a Central and Southern Rockies species, with isolated locations in southern California, central Wyoming, western Arizona, and the southwestern Great Plains. In New Mexico, the flower is found commonly in the Rio Grande drainage, and continues on down through the Big Bend country of Texas. Note that Ackerfield (2022) and other authorities treat this taxon as part of a Glandularia bipinnatifida complex. BONAP, however, keeps the two species separate and shows different distributions for Colorado, with G. bipinnatifida not located within the Watershed.
