- Queen’s crown is more commonly collected than her consort, Rhodiola integrifolia—from all mountain regions of the Watershed, usually in open and mesic habitats such as beside tundra rills, in subalpine meadows, and on montane lake sides. In the USA, it has a more restricted range than does R. integrifolia, namely the Central and South Rockies of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico, extending west to scattered locations in southwest Utah and northeast Arizona. It follows the Rio Grande drainage south only to Santa Fe Co, New Mexico.
