- NEED IN SITU PHOTOS. Only a few records of Thalictrum venulosum come from the Watershed: Wagon Wheel Gap (1911); near Hwy 160 W of South Fork (1984); Stony Pass (2003). T. venulosum is spread across the northern third of the USA, with a salient down the Southern Rockies. The Watershed locations would lie at the farthest extent of this southward reach. This is a species that requires inspection of the achene to distinguish it from T. fendleri (see also T. occidentale), so may be under-reported. The species is accepted by BONAP and FNA, but Ackerfield (2022) treats it within the "Thalictrum fendleri complex.” The Watershed locations would be unique to the entire Rio Grande drainage.
