- In the Watershed, Solanum triflorum is the most commonly observed of nightshades. It occupies disturbed ground such as roadsides and house gardens but has naturalized to xeric grassland and rock outcrops. Or perhaps it is the other way around. The plant is thought to be native to much of the southwestern USA, but whether it is native or adventive to Colorado has not been determined. In New Mexico, it follows the Rio Grande drainage to the Mexican border. Observations continue farther down stream only from Jeff Davis Co, Texas.
