- In the Watershed fernleaf lousewort is a common montane lousewort often found in forest understory. No doubt it is present in the Culebras, although not yet recorded from there. There are numerous occurrences in the Rio Grade Cristos of New Mexico. Pedicularis procera follows the Rio Grande drainage down almost to Mexico. Its USA range is primarily Colorado and New Mexico, with scattered reports from neighboring states.
