- Bracted lousewort is usually found in meadows and forest openings. All Watershed records are from the south San Juans, none from the Sangre de Cristos. There are, however, two locations in the Cristos of the New Mexico Rio Grande drainage. These few collections from Rio Arriba and Taos counties, New Mexico, mark the southeastern limit of the USA distribution, which covers the Rocky Mountains up to the Canadian border, and the Cascades of Washington and Oregon.
