Comments
Water mudwort is probably more common in the Watershed than the few collections indicate. Many of the recorded locations are on or near the Rio Grande; e.g., the bank of the Rio Grande near Alamosa (1952); west bank of the Rio Grande west of San Luis (1954); Alamosa WR (1974); Humphrey's Ranch below Creede (2014). The 2021 and 2022 photorecords northeast of Del Norte would add Rio Grande to counties indicated in Ackerfield (2022) and BONAP (2022). This aquatic has been collected from the Rio Grande drainage at least as far south as Santa Fe. These records lie on the southeast edge of the USA distribution.
