- Splitleaf paintbrush is often collected from the west mountain regions of the Watershed, but there is only one SEINet record from the east side (Medano Canyon, north Cristos, Saguache Co, 1975). There are a few scattered records from the Cristos of New Mexico, which mark the SE extent of the USA distribution. That distribution covers the Rocky Mountains to the Canadian border.
