- Comments
- Narrowleaf paintbrush is common on both sides of the Valley, usually found on sloping montane meadows, but also by streams and roadsides. It tends to mature later in the season and at somewhat higher elevations than C. integra, with which it is sympatric. No doubt it is present in the Culebras, judging from New Mexico records. Its range in the USA is all states west of the Great Plains, with a reduced presence in Washington, Montana, and the panhandle of Idaho. It follows the Rio Grande drainage down through New Mexico to the Mexican border, but no farther.
